Meet Mrs. Smith
I am excited for another year of teaching at MEI! I graduated from Trinity Western University in 2011. My love for teaching and school started at a young age and was nurtured by the many fantastic teachers I encountered at MEI as a student. As a little girl, I would ask my sisters to complete math worksheets I created on scrap paper, take fake spelling tests, and sit through “storytime”. I'm thankful that God gave me this love for teaching at a young age!
My husband and I love the outdoors and you'll often find us hiking and boating in the summer. One of our highlights of the summer was spending a few nights camping on an island in the middle of Harrison lake. We also love spending time with our families and having friends over for board games.
We are overjoyed to become parents again as we welcome Baby Smith #2 in January. We are excited to watch Judah become a big brother. :)
I am thrilled to be teaching grade three at MEI Elementary and look forward to the many learning experiences I will encounter with your child this year. More importantly, I am excited to see your child grow in their understanding of who God is as we spend time growing in our relationships with Him this year.

Meet Mrs. Dahl
I grew up in Abbotsford and both my husband and I had the privilege of attending MEI high school We have many fond memories of our teachers and friendships that were formed during those years. After high school I went to Trinity Western University and completed my B. Arts. The following year I finished off my PDP at Simon Fraser University. While at University I met my husband Josh at Bible Study at Northview Church and we have now been married 17 years with 3 children. Gina and Jada (twins) who are going into grade 9 and our son Joel who is entering grade 6.
My daughter Gina loves horseback riding, Jada loves gymnastics and my son is excited to play hockey. My husband and I love to go on walks and go swimming and hot tubbing. We have a black lab named Jax, a black cat named Sparky, and two other Tabi cats named Leo and Tigger.
This past summer we had lots of fun in our pool swimming, lounging and I love being in my garden planting flowers and a variety of vegetables! We also got to go camping in Oliver with our family and loved being lakeside.
Before coming to MEI, I taught at Valley Christian School for 14 years teaching a variety of grades such as Kindergarten, grades 2-5, middle school French and even some highschool courses. I have also enjoyed TOCing at MEI on my days off. My favorite grade to teach is grade 3! I am so excited to see some familiar students from last year and to get to know some new faces. It is such a privilege to teach and learn from your children. I am so thankful how God has provided this wonderful class and teaching partner Emily to be working with.
